Through Villa Elba, you can participate in voluntary activities either as a volunteer or as an organization. All 18-30 year olds can be volunteers. The aim of the program is to strengthen the young person’s working life skills and to provide experiences how to be an active member of society. Volunteers work for the local community and get the chance to be involved in promoting solidarity.
The financial support of the voluntary work covers travel and maintenance costs for the young person as well as language training and pocket money. Young people are also insured during the project.
We provide support and advice to municipal youth organizations, associations, and non-profit organizations interested in operating as volunteers. Volunteering can be done, for example, in youth and cultural work, in leisure activities, in elderly and disabled services, and in environmental protection. Recruiting a volunteer is ideal for those interested in developing their multicultural skills in their own organization and finding new perspectives.
For those interested in volunteering:
Through our extensive networks, we offer both short- and long-term volunteer services across Europe. As a voluntary support organization, we provide support and advice throughout the project to all aspects of your volunteering time.
A long-term volunteer service project has a duration of 2 to 12 months and a short duration of 2 weeks to 2 months. The program is suitable for all those interested in volunteering, and no language or training requirements are set for volunteers. Motivation and genuine desire is enough!
Volunteer teams are a form of a project for young people in need of more support. From 2 weeks to 2 months, the project involves several young people and we often send volunteers to these projects in pairs. Projects organized by our networks often carry out concrete work tasks such as the renovation or environmental protection etc. for the benefit of the local community. Projects support the participation of young people in many different ways, for example, volunteers can have a support person with them throughout the volunteer period, if necessary.
During the project, a young person will get to know different cultures, develop language skills, broaden worldviews and receive learning experiences that will enable to develop working life skills.
